The birth of your child is such a gift! Let St. Mary’s parish help you give the gift of new birth through the waters of Holy Baptism. For a child to receive Baptism at St. Mary’s, please note that at least one parent must be a practicing Catholic, regularly attend Holy Mass, participate in the life of the parish, and be registered at St. Mary’s at least three months prior to requesting the date for Baptism. In this, you become part of our wider parish family!
Parents must attend our Baptismal Preparation session prior to the Baptism. The next session is Sun, May 19 at 10:00am in Smith Hall. Registration is necessary so that we can prepare for you. Please contact Chris Ascherman at 803-845-0568. Godparents are encouraged to attend a Baptismal Preparation session as well. Since godparents promise to help raise your child in the practice of the Catholic faith, godparents must be practicing Catholics at whatever parish they attend.
