O Holy Night!

12-25-2022Pastor's LetterRev. Gregory B.Wilson, VF

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

If you are visiting with us, welcome! The Christmas Masses often bring many visitors to our parish, especially family members and friends of parishioners. We pray you find a warm welcome from our family of St. Mary’s Parish and School. I invite all visitors and parishioners to receive our free gift, the book Holy Moments by Matthew Kelly, as you leave Mass. It will deepen your faith, hope, and love. Special thanks go to our generous anonymous donor, who has made the gift of this book possible.

Here again is our schedule for Christmas: Please note first that on Christmas Eve, Sunday, Dec 24, we will have neither confessions nor the usual 5:00pm Mass.
Also, please note that on both Christmas Day and New Year’s Day (both Sundays), we will not have the 5:00pm evening Masses.
With that, here is the Mass schedule for Christmas:

Christmas Eve: 4:00pm, 6:30pm, & 8:30pm (in Spanish)

Solemn Mass at Midnight – begins at midnight

Christmas Day: 8:30am, 11:00am, and 1:00pm (in Spanish)

We will not have 5pm Masses on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day. Please note and plan accordingly.

Just a quick update on the 120-Day million-dollar matching challenge for our future Science and Engineering Academy: As of the writing of this column (Dec 14), we had already gotten over
$223,490 that will be matched. That’s in just 17 days of the 120-day challenge period! This total will be matched dollar-for-dollar by our anonymous donor. When we raise a million on our end, the matching gift will take us over our goal of $6.9 million. While the building can be valued in dollars, the impact this will make on generations of children will be priceless.

I was reflecting that this is my twelfth Christmas with you here at St. Mary’s, and I feel exceptionally blessed. Know that your intentions will be remembered in all of my Christmas Masses. May the love of this parish inspire you as it has me to know and experience a greater Love, Jesus Christ our Savior. May His love reach our families, children, the elderly, the handicapped, and all who are often helpless victims of selfishness and neglect. May God’s love especially inspire peace as we together celebrate the birth of the Prince of Peace. On behalf of all the priests, deacons, staff, and faculty of St. Mary’s Parish and School, I wish you all a holy and Merry Christmas!

O come, let us adore Him! Father Wilson

Misa de Gallo – comienza a la medianoche;

María y me siento excepcionalmente bendecido.

Padre Wilson
