Masses

All Masses are in the new church (except Wednesday Spanish Mass at 7pm in Old St. Mary’s). Every other pew is used. We sanitize between Masses, so the new church is not open outside of Mass to ensure it is clean when you arrive.

Mass Schedule:
Mon, Tue, Thur, & Fri: 5:30pm
Wed: 8:30am; and in Spanish at 7:00pm (Old St. Mary’s)
Sat (daily Mass): 8:00am
Sun Vigil (Sat): 5:00pm

Sun: 8:30am; 11:00am; 12:30pm (Spanish); & 5:00pm Monthly Latin Mass: 2:00pm 1st Fridays of the month Masses we prepared for overflow actually have had lower numbers. However, we will continue to prepare for any overflow at 5:00pm Sat., and 11:00am & 12:30pm Sunday, just in case.

The Bishop continues to encourage those at-risk to stay home for their safety; however, we do not turn people away because of age. Just be smart. Masks are still strongly encouraged as is the reception of Holy Communion in the hand. (If receiving on the tongue, please wait until the end of the communion line and come to a priest or deacon.) Ministers of Holy Communion sanitize their hands both before and after distribution.

Confessions

To begin, I will give a weekly, changing schedule of confessions. They will be in the Deacon Waters Conference Room (right wing of the new church). The priest will be behind the opened door of the conference room with the penitent on the other side of the door. Others will wait outside under the portico. This has been tested, and it is completely private.

June 17: 9:00am-10:00am; June 18 & 19: 4:00pm – 5:00pm; and June 20: 3:00pm – 4:30pm

Preparing your Confession

Anticipating many people in need of this important Sacrament, here are a few tips:

  • Prepare at home: There may be only a few minutes for your confession. Remember someone is likely behind you, even if they were not there when you went in.
  • Please be brief and not use this as an opportunity for counseling. If you need to speak with a priest for counseling, please make an appointment outside of confession times.
  • It is recommended that you wash your hands or use hand sanitizer after your confession.
  • Please wear a mask if you are able (out of charity for others), and remember not to touch your face until your hands are washed or sanitized. The priest will be wearing a mask.
  • Please stand for your confession unless you are unable.

Thank you for your patience and fidelity, remembering that we are disciples and examples of Jesus Christ first. Thank you for joining your suffering and inconveniences to His perfect Sacrifice.

Praying for you always,

Father Wilson
