DECEMBER

12/01 – First Friday Traditional Latin Mass.  2:00pm – Old St. Mary’s (corner of Park Ave. & York St.).  Join us for Holy Mass in the Extraordinary Form (Latin Mass) in honor of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

12/02 – Saturday.  FaithAction ID drive at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church & School, 856 Old Edgefield Rd., North Augusta, SC 29841.  The FaithAction ID is for ANY resident who may have limited access to government issued forms of identification, and for those who support the mission of FaithAction – turning strangers into neighbors. It is not a government-issued form of ID or a driver’s license, but it is a verifiable form of identification that says you are a part of our community. Click here for more information.

12/04 – Monday. Advent Family Mission.  Saint Mary’s presents the Advent Rosary Mysteries: The Annunciation and the Visitation. The mission evening will start with Mass 5:30 pm in Old St. Mary’s followed by a light meal in Smith Hall. Talks will start at 7:00 and will end at 8:15. Sessions will include Adult sessions in English and Spanish, youth sessions, and a nursery will be available. 12/06 – Wednesday.  NO SCHOOL MASS today.  (Moved due to the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception to Friday, December 8 at 8:30am in the church.)

12/07 – Thursday.  Vigil Mass for the Immaculate Conception.  Holy Day of Obligation.  Mass at 5:30pm in the church (138 Fairfield St. SE)

12/08 – Friday.  The Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary – Holy Day of Obligation.  Masses at 7:00am (Old St. Mary’s); at 8:30am, 12:00pm, & 5:30pm (church); and 7:00 pm en español (la capilla de Santa María).

12/09 – Saturday. Advent Women’s Retreat – The Tender Compassion of Our God.  Click here for the registration form and schedule.  All women are invited.  Space is limited, so please register by December 5.  A morning of peace, prayer, and thoughtful conversation with friends!  Come join us!

12/10 – Sunday / Domingo.  Parish festival in honor or Our Lady of Guadalupe.  Mañanitas – 5:00am.  Bilingual Mass / Misa Bilingüe  – 11:00am.  Procession after Mass.  Fiesta following Procession.  (Hoy, no hay una misa a las 12:30pm.)

12/24 – Fourth Sunday of Advent.  Masses at 8:30am & 11:00am in the church; and at 12:30pm en español in Old St. Mary’s

MASSES FOR CHRISTMAS
Since Christmas falls on Monday this year, the morning of the 24th is actually the 4th Sunday of Advent with Christmas beginning with the 4pm Mass.  We as Catholics should plan to attend both Mass for the 4th Sunday of Advent as well as Mass for Christmas.
